Why I've Driven My Porsche 911 Turbo 826,664 Miles
The famous 1.3M KM Porsche 911 Turbo! This is the most significant interview I’ve been fortunate to do. I flew to Toronto to interview Bill MacEachern and his 1976 Porsche 911 930 Turbo that he ordered new from Porsche Canada in 1975. At the time it was the first 930 Turbo delivered to Canada, within a few weeks Bill brought it back having done 12,000 miles, little did anyone know it would go on to achieve 826,664 miles (1,330,326 kilometres) at the time of this recording. That’s the equivalent of driving to the moon 3.5 times. After 8 months of dreaming of intervening Bill I was blessed to spend a day with him discovering the history and motive behind driving a ‘race’ car 800,000+ miles!
