1979 Gabriel 400 Steve Pfeifer flies over pit wall (WITH AUDIO)
Found this on an old memory stick I found while cleaning out my desk, no idea who originally uploaded but all credit to them. Steve Pfeifer, a substitute driver for Roger Hamby in the number 17 Kings Inn Chevrolet, loses control while coming to pit road in the 1979 Gabriel 400 at Michigan on the 17th of June 1979, Pfeifer's car slams into a wall near the entry to pit road and launches over onto some photographers. Amazingly no one was fatally injured however freelance photographer Ray Cook suffered internal injuries, while Pfeifer only suffered cuts on his chest and right knee.
