The new 2020 Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 004C race car made its debut for the first tests and shakedown at San Martino del Lago circuit, near Cremona. This video refers to that day. As for the previous model, the SCG 003C, the newborn was created in collaboration with Podium Advanced Technologies which took care of its development, construction and will take part in the race car management. The mechanical part was developed by Autotecnica Motori which used the GM LT4 engine; a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 unit that currently produces over 600hp. The SCG 004C will compete in the 2020 SPX class of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
Further development is expected to be homologated in the GT3 category and if there will be interest, also in the GTE and GT4 classes. Some features see the construction entirely in carbon fibre and a central driving position. Compared to the SCG 003C it's 100kg lighter with a 25% aerodynamic load improved at maximum speed. For the debut on the track, behind the wheel, we found Jim Glickenhaus and the pilot Thomas Mutsch.

La nuova vettura da competizione 2020 della Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, modello SCG 004C ha fatto il debutto per i primi test e shakedown sulla pista di San Martino del Lago, vicino a Cremona. Questo video si riferisce proprio a quella giornata. Come già avvenuto per il modello precedente, la SCG 003C, anche la nuova nata è stata realizzata in collaborazione con Podium Adavanced Technologies che ne ha curato completamente lo sviluppo, la realizzazione e prenderà parte alla gestione della vettura in gara. La parte meccanica è stata affidata ad Autotecnica Motori che ha impiegato come base di partenza il propulsore GM LT4, un V8 da 6.2 litri aspirato che attualmente sviluppa oltre 600cv. La SCG 004C gareggerà nella classe SPX della 24 Ore del Nürburgring 2020. E' previsto un'ulteriore sviluppo per essere omologata in categoria GT3 e se ci sarà interesse, anche in classe GTE e GT4. Alcune caratteristiche vedono la costruzione interamente in fibra di carbonio di scocca e carrozzeria ed una posizione di guida centrale. Rispetto alla SCG 003C è 100kg più leggera con un carico aerodinamico migliorato del 25% alla massima velocità. Per il debutto in pista, dietro al volante, si sono alternati lo stesso Jim Glickenhaus ed il pilota Thomas Mutsch.
