TOYOTA FT-3e CONCEPT FUTURISTIC ELECTRIC SUV
The Toyota FT-3e Concept is a futuristic electric SUV that was revealed at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. It is based on a new electrical architecture that aims to deliver impressive range and performance. It has a sleek and aerodynamic design, with thin light bars, a sloping roofline, and a two-piece rear spoiler. It also has digital displays on the sides of the vehicle that show information such as battery charge level and interior temperature. It claims to offer better-than-RAV4 interior space in a lower and smaller exterior, thanks to the slimmer-profile battery pack, motors, and HVAC system. The interior is modern and airy, with a plethora of screens around the driver and minimal physical controls. It promises to achieve 560-620 miles of range on the China Light-duty-vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), using next-generation prismatic battery cells that are more energy dense and allow a lower floor height. It also says it can recharge from 10-80 percent in just 20 minutes. It features personalized services powered by innovative technologies, such as biometric identification of passengers, solar panels on the roof, and vehicle-to-home or -grid functionality. The Toyota FT-3e Concept is expected to be a preview of the next-generation bZ4X crossover, which should arrive in 2026 with the new solid-state batteries. It is one of the 10 electric vehicles that Toyota plans to launch globally by 2026.
