Over 100 Cars Were Wrecked Making TOKYO DRIFT…
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift destroyed a ridiculous number of cars during production. More than 100 cars were wrecked or destroyed while filming the movie. And the tire bill was just as crazy. Toyo donated 4,000 tires for the production... but only about half of them were actually used. And Rays Engineering donated another 170 Volk Racing wheels. So behind all those drifting scenes... there was an entire mountain of tires, wheels, and wrecked cars.
