Sold and heading to a new and very worthy owner: the unique 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB built for Roman professor Renato Ricceri, the most ‘tailor made’ Berlinetta we’ve ever come across. Prof. Ricceri wasn’t an easy man as his correspondence with the Ferrari factory makes clear: pages and pages of special requests (17 in all) including a bespoke dashboard, seats, instruments, coachwork details, engine, exhaust…the list goes on. Best of all he expected them without extra charge: you can guess how that last request fared. We’ve known this car since the mid-1990s when we discovered it in storage in Geneva under a thick layer of dust, but after the artisans of Modena worked their magic I think even Prof. Ricceri would approve.
