Barn Find Ford Capri 280 #4 | Rolling Road Tune Up
After many years away, former BBC Top Gear, Wheeler Dealers, Car SOS and The Garage director Jamie Langton continues his journey back to one of his and Britain’s, most iconic cars — the legendary Ford Capri 280. Just 1,038 Capri 280s examples were built, all within a remarkable two-week window in 1986. This car is truly exceptional. Although built in ’86, it wasn’t registered until 1989, making it one of only two of the very last Capris ever registered new for UK roads. Decades of limited use and 10 years off the road have inevitably left their mark. Mechanically, cosmetically and internally, the Capri now needs careful attention before it can return to the road.
