Consistently continuing this strategy, BMW is set to introduce hybrid technology with a great potential for further efficiency borne out in particular in higher segments of the market in more powerful vehicles. As part of BMW EfficientDynamics, ongoing electrification of the drivetrain all the way to full hybridisation offers additional advantages in fuel economy. The BMW Concept X6 ActiveHybrid - also present in Paris - has already demonstrated the requirements to a hybrid model built by the BMW Group: greater driving dynamics under all driving conditions than on existing hybrid cars and, at the same time, a double-digit enhancement of efficiency compared to corresponding models without hybrid technology.
