Toyota announced plans to introduce 30 all-electric vehicles by 2030 across its Toyota and Lexus brands. It is part of Toyota's larger strategy to reduce fleet-wide carbon emissions by up to 90% from 2010 levels by 2050 – a goal that will also include the introduction of fuel cell and hybrid vehicles. For enthusiasts, there will be an electric sports car (Toyota Sports EV) that resembles the mid-engine MR2 spiritual successor. Interestingly, we learned in 2018 that Toyota was considering developing an electric MR2. A pickup truck (Toyota Pickup EV) was also showcased, which will almost certainly end up wearing a Tacoma badge. The news comes as no surprise, as Toyota had stated in April that an electric truck would be available soon. Toyota and Lexus intend to sell approximately 3.5 million electric vehicles annually by 2030. #UnitedStates #Technology #ToyotaSportsEV #ToyotaPickupEV #Travel
