This is an engine that can be found in nearly every Mercedes chassis(that isn't front wheel drive) from 2010--2017 including the ML, C Class, E class, S class, GLE, GLK, Etc. This is a core return and unfortunately I don't have mileage, or any sort of history on the vehicle it came from. In this video, we tear this engine all the way down, and about halfway through the root cause of the failure is very apparent, but why did this happen? Could this have been avoided and what can you do to prevent this from happening to you? Why am I doing this? My name is Eric and I own and run Importapart, a full service auto dismantling business. Part of our model includes buying and dismantling blown up, core and suspected bad engines, reselling the good parts and recycling the rest. We do not rebuild engines, merely supply parts to those who do! I really hope you enjoyed this teardown, as always I love all of the comments, feedback and even the criticism. Catch you on the next one! -Eric
