France: Prepared to cut Renault stake to bolster Nissan alliance

The French government says it may consider cutting its stake in automaker Renault, in order to consolidate the company's alliance with Nissan. Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire made the remark on the sidelines of the G20 finance ministers meeting in Japan, calling that Paris could reduce the state's 15% stake in Renault, if the move will lead to a "more solid" alliance between the French and Japanese firms.
