David Brown Automotive unveils retro-styled Speedback
New car company David Brown Automotive has unveiled its first model, the 1960s-inspired Speedback. Although the retro styling might suggest otherwise, company founder and CEO, David Brown apparently has no connection with either Aston Martin or its founder. The Speedback is designed, engineered and hand-crafted in Britain, underpinned by a Jaguar XKR-S platform and running gear. It will be built to order in limited numbers and will make its public debut in April at Top Marques Monaco, where pricing is set to be announced. David Brown Automotive is a British coachbuilder and manufacturer of limited production cars based in Silverstone, England. The company was founded in Coventry in 2013 by British businessman David Brown to create modern interpretations of classic vehicles. Its first model, the Speedback GT was launched in 2014. David Brown Automotive was placed into administration in November 2024.
