1K Sub special! Thanks to all my subscribers for subscribing to this tiny car channel. Thanks for watching! Compilation of the Ferrari 250 GTO '64 build by Roelofs Engineering. See Jan Lammers and Nicky Pastorelli drive this car to the limit at Zandvoort. This GTO finished 1st, 2nd, 7th and 2nd at the Historic Grand Prix 2014,15,16 and 2017. It also ran with Pastorelli/Cottingham at the Goodwood Members Meeting 2017 to 4th place after starting 15th! This 250 GTO '64 is a recreation build on a 1963 250 GTE chassis s/n 4817GT. There are only 6 of the '64 model. 3 Original from the factory and 3 rebodied GTOs. I believe there are only 2 without the roofspoiler, that's s/n 3413GT and 4675GT. And those are the cars this recreation is based on. Original 250 GTO '64 without the roofspoiler s/n 3413GT: http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/3413GT.250GTO.htm The other one s/n 4675GT: http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/4675GT.250GTO.htm You can see this 250 GTO '64 as the real thing only it's build by Roelofs Engineering based in The Netherlands instead of Ferrari. Piet Roelofs is the founder of Roelofs Engineering (you can see him warming up the V12) and this is his special project to show the company's technical expertise. There are still lots of original parts in this car. Maybe it's even better made with modern tools. Roelofs Engineering prepare and restore Italian cars, mainly Ferrari's from all over the world and are one of the best. At the Goodwood revival 2016 for example, Tom Kristensen won in a 250 GT SWB prepared by Roelofs Engineering. The company's most successful early line, the 250 series includes many variants designed for road use or sports car racing. 250 series cars are characterised by their use of a 3.0 L (2,953 cc) Colombo V12 engine designed by Gioacchino Colombo. The 250 series designation refers to this engine's cylinder displacement of approximately 250 cc.
