The Omoda 7 SHS is one of the most important new plug-in hybrid SUVs to hit the UK market. With a claimed 56 miles of electric-only range, DC rapid charging up to 40kW, and a combined range of over 700 miles, it promises to solve the biggest problems buyers have with traditional PHEVs. In this review, I take a detailed look at the Omoda 7 Super Hybrid System (SHS) to see whether it’s genuinely a breakthrough – or just another value-focused SUV trying to undercut the competition. Under the bonnet, the Omoda 7 SHS pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and an 18.3kWh battery. Total output sits at around 204PS and 365Nm of torque, with 0–62mph in roughly 8.4 seconds. On paper, that puts it right in the heart of the family SUV sweet spot. But what really stands out is the EV capability. A claimed 56-mile WLTP electric range means many drivers could complete daily commutes without using a drop of petrol. Unlike most plug-in hybrids, the Omoda 7 can also DC fast charge at up to 40kW, allowing a 30–80% top-up in around 20 minutes. That’s unusual in this class and could be a genuine advantage for drivers who rely on public charging. Inside, the Omoda 7 aims for a premium feel, with a large 15.6-inch central touchscreen, digital driver display, and modern cabin layout. Boot space is generous for a mid-size SUV, making it a serious option for families. It also offers vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, meaning you can power external devices directly from the car. The big question is whether the Omoda 7 SHS is simply a budget alternative to cars like the MG HS, Kia Sportage PHEV and Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid – or whether it actually moves the game on in terms of real-world usability and value. If you’re considering a plug-in hybrid SUV in 2026, the Omoda 7 SHS might be one of the most interesting new arrivals on the market. #Omoda7 #PlugInHybrid #CarReview ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🚗🚗 𝙈𝙔 𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙆𝙎 🚗🚗 👍👨𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 : https://tinyurl.com/dnagjim 📷📱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 : https://linktr.ee/dnag ☕☕ 𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗠𝗲 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 : https://ko-fi.com/notaguru☕☕ 👕🥤 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗵 : https://www.notaguru.co.uk/merch 🌐💻 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 : https://www.notaguru.co.uk/ 📚😊 𝘽𝙐𝙔 𝙈𝙔 𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙆 𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀 : https://amzn.to/3HMF9eH 📱💻 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙈𝙚 : https://www.notaguru.co.uk/book-a-call ✅👨𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 : https://tinyurl.com/dnagjim 🧳✈️𝐉𝐞𝐭𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐨 (𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥) : https://www.youtube.com/@jetsetjimbo ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🔥🔥 𝘼𝙁𝙁𝙄𝙇𝙄𝘼𝙏𝙀 𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙆𝙎 🔥🔥 ✅ 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠.𝐜𝐨𝐦 : https://tinyurl.com/e3ve9xh ✅ 𝐀𝐋𝐀 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 : https://tinyurl.com/j4kv696w (𝙐𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙙𝙚 JIM10) ✅ 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 : https://amzn.to/3dLVstT ✅ 𝗩𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 (𝗖𝗮𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆) : https://www.vcheck.uk/?aid=31442 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Important : This channel tries to deliver honest advice for real people.
