ChrisFix asked me to build him a cheap and reliable M54 engine as a backup for his endurance E46 car

The goal here is to build a reliable engine by addressing the most common failures and upgrading those commonly failed parts. We're not building an engine with more horsepower but rather an engine that will last for several endurance races and hopefully beyond. In this video I tear the engine down to the bare block so we can start fresh.
