Discover the Aiways MAS platform

Aiways pursues a modern platform strategy for current and planned models. This means that not only the Aiways U5, but also future electric vehicles of the Chinese brand will be built on the same basis: The so-called "More Adaptable Structure" (MAS platform). The MAS platform consists of aluminum in lower part, with aviation class level connection tech. The combination with advanced high strength steel in the upper bodywork creates an extremely stable yet lightweight base for Aiways' electric models. Such a platform strategy makes sense, especially from an economic perspective. Resources can be shared and additional investments can be saved. And at the same time there is no decrease of flexibility by using this platform. More than 15 different models in the segments A, A+, B and B+ can be realized on the MAS platform. They differ not only in size and body shape, but also in various powertrain and battery designs. Following the SUV Aiways U5, the crossover coupe concept car U6ion, presented in March 2020, is the second Aiways model based on the MAS platform.
