Starting a new (old) project - Rebuilding My Purvis Eureka
This is the story of a car and a dream. Saw my first Purvis Eureka when I was 10 fell in love bought mine in 1998 at 18, took it off the road four years later to rebuild… and now, 24 years later, the journey finally begins.
About Purvis Eureka
The Purvis Eureka is a sports car which was produced by Purvis Cars from 1974 to 1991 in Dandenong, Victoria, Australia. It was first exhibited at the 1974 Melbourne International Motor Show, and was based on the British Nova kit car. The name was pay tribute to the Eureka Stockade, with Purvis Cars also adopting the Eureka Flag as its logo. It utilised a Volkswagen Beetle chassis, and had a fibreglass body.
