Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo (a future of very quick lifted electric wagons)
Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo (a future of very quick lifted electric wagons) The new concept would also (hypothetically) be built around an 800-volt electrical architecture; in that, it’s in line with what the automaker has been saying recently about its green plans. In addition to a plug-in fast charger, it would get an inductive charging dock, just like your smartphone -- pull in to the garage, park it over the pad and it juices up automatically. With the fast charger, you can expect to recover a 249-mile range in just 15 minutes. One of Porsche’s big selling points for its as-of-yet unproduced electric vehicles is repeatable performance: You’ll be able to hit those acceleration and performance figures again and again without cooking anything onboard or forcing the car to throttle down. Will that be enough to set Porsche apart from competitors as the electric future approaches? Can clinically repeatable 0-60 sprints replace the wild wail of a naturally aspirated flat-six? We’re going to find out. Porsche says a production version of the Cross Turismo will make its debut next year.
