Disclaimer: this is not a promotion video. I don't support electric vehicles, in fact, I do not recommend them. The 2026 BMW iX3 marks a major turning point for BMW, as the first production model built on the brand’s all-new Neue Klasse electric platform. Unlike the previous iX3, this is a ground-up EV, designed from scratch to maximize efficiency, performance, and digital integration. The flagship iX3 50 xDrive features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing around 469 hp (345 kW) and 645 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h. It uses a large 108.7 kWh battery, delivering an impressive WLTP range of up to 800 km, placing it among the longest-range electric SUVs in its class. BMW also offers a more efficient iX3 40 version, producing around 325 hp (240 kW) with a smaller battery and up to 636 km of range, making it a more accessible entry point into the lineup. One of the biggest technological upgrades is the new 800-volt electrical architecture, allowing ultra-fast charging of up to 400 kW DC, meaning the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in roughly 20–25 minutes under optimal conditions. In terms of size, the iX3 measures 4,782 mm long, with a 2,897 mm wheelbase, placing it directly in the premium mid-size SUV segment, similar to the combustion-engine X3 but slightly lower and more aerodynamic. Inside, the iX3 introduces a completely new digital concept, including BMW’s Panoramic Vision display, projecting key information across the windshield, combined with a minimalist interior and a large central touchscreen. This marks a shift toward a more software-defined driving experience. What enthusiasts love: – Massive electric range (up to ~800 km), eliminating range anxiety. – 800V architecture and ultra-fast charging, competing with top EVs on the market. – Strong performance with AWD and instant torque. – First true BMW EV platform, not adapted from combustion models. What critics and debates focus on: – The design is controversial, especially the new front-end styling and proportions. – Heavy reliance on touch controls and digital interfaces divides opinion among traditional BMW fans. – As a new platform, long-term reliability and software refinement remain a topic of discussion. – Some argue it prioritizes technology over the classic “driver-focused” BMW feel. Overall, the BMW iX3 NA5 (2026) is one of the most important cars BMW has launched in years — a fully electric SUV that combines long range, fast charging, and next-gen technology, while redefining what a modern BMW should feel like in the EV era. ⸻ Hashtags #BMWiX3 #BMWiX32026 #NeueKlasse #BMWEV #ElectricSUV #800VArchitecture #FastCharging #BMWxDrive #LuxuryEV #NextGenBMW #EVTechnology #CarSpotting #CarEnthusiast #FutureCars #ElectricDriving
The BMW iX3 (NA5) is a battery electric compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW, succeeding the X3-based G08. Unlike its predecessor, it is built on the Neue Klasse platform, no longer sharing its platform with its counterpart (G45). A long-wheelbase version, codenamed NA6, is slated to release in the Chinese market in 2026.
