First Look at the 2025 Ferrari 12Cilindri: A Front-Engined Legend Returns
*First Look at the 2025 Ferrari 12Cilindri: A Front-Engined Legend Returns* The "12Cilindri" is Ferrari's latest front-engined flagship, a visually impressive two-seater that was internally created by Flavio Manzoni and his team. The car pays homage to the iconic 365GTB/4 and is equipped with an enhanced 6.5-liter V-12 engine, producing 819 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 pound-feet at 7250 rpm. The 812 Competizione, a modern version of the Daytona, is equipped with a red crinkle paint, carbon-fiber intake, variable-geometry intake ducts, reduced-friction valvetrain, and Aspirated Torque Shaping (ATS) software strategy. It provides 80 percent of the maximum power from 2500 revolutions per minute. The seven-speed dual-clutch transmission has been substituted with an eight-speed unit. Although it is 161 pounds heavier, it surpasses its previous version by reaching 62 mph in under 2.9 seconds. Ferrari has enhanced its 12-cylinder engine by incorporating a new active-aero system that optimizes both aerodynamic efficiency and downforce. The system incorporates Side Slip Control, brake-by-wire ABS Evo, and Virtual Short Wheelbase 3.0 to enhance maneuverability during turns and maintain stability at high speeds. The rear air management system, equipped with a top spoiler, dynamic lateral winglets, and a diffuser, directs cooling air to the brakes, radiators, oil coolers, and engine bay. The black box restricts all aerodynamic factors to low-drag mode when the automobile reaches a speed of 186 mph, enabling it to achieve a maximum speed exceeding 211 mph. The Berlinetta coupe showcases a spacious tinted glass roof to enhance the feeling of openness and a spider-like appearance to promote a sense of ozone. In Europe, the coupe has a price tag of approximately $417,000. The spider variant, which weighs 132 pounds more and comes with a 10% surcharge, brings the total cost to around $465,000. The Atelier treatment provides an expanded selection of trim and paint choices, whilst the Tailor Made section specializes in crafting customized options. The 12Cilindri is scheduled for availability later this year, and the convertible version is anticipated to be available at dealerships in the fourth quarter. What is your opinion?
