Today, for the first time, we're in Washington state to visit SSC HQ and take an exclusive tour with Jerod Shelby of the production facility, and get out on the road for the first time in an SSC Tuatara Striker. Kicking off with a tour of the assembly hall, it's amazing to get a look under the skin at the engineering work that goes into building a hypercar capable of reaching speeds over 300mph. From the carbon monocoque, to the rear assembly, 3d printed titanium parts, and so much more; there's a lot to take in and thanks to Jerod we can really explore in detail. Then it's time for a run on the road in the Tuatara Striker, a car boasting 1,750hp from the 5.9l twin turbocharged V8. All things considered from the past, what an opportunity to showcase the work that's gone into creating a machine that can offer this level of performance.
