1963 PORSCHE Formula Vee Race Car | Vintage Racing

This 1963 Porsche Formula Vee Race Car is owned by Robert Liberty. We met Robert at the exotic cars and coffee Louisville event and have become fans of him and his cars. Formula Vee racing, also known as Volkswagen Formula Vee racing, is a motorsports racing formula based on pre 1963 Volkswagen Beetles. They use parts from these cars on a modified tube frame. Robert's vintage race car build isn't one that he takes on the track himself. Well, at least not yet. But, his 63 Porsche Formula Vee is street legal, so he is getting to enjoy this really cool Formula Vee race car. The Vintage Formula Vee cars all used the same Formula Vee engine; a 1200cc Volkswagen engine with 40 horsepower. And that is just what you will find in this vintage Porsche race car.
