Cobra 427 engine sounds and acceleration - turn the volume up -
Taking the 65’ Shell Valley out for a spin. This Cobra is powered by a small block Chevy 427 with AFR 200 heads, comp cams, forged rods and pistons, and other good stuff. Puts power to the ground with a Tremec TKO 600 and a Ford 9” with Eaton gears. We haven’t dyno’d it but it’s likely between 500 and 600hp. At slow speeds and low gears in this video I am accelerating at no more than 1/2 throttle (more just causes excessive wheel spin). At higher speeds on the freeway in 3rd I can go to about 3/4 throttle without spinning the rear tires.
